Default LS1 944 clutch hitting bellhousing

Hey Folks,
Looking for some advice with a Porsche LS1 swap. I have just put my engine back in for the third and last time hopefully and have found that my clutch is hitting the inside of the bellhousing about 2" in and had about a 1/4" gap left to go.
I am using a Corvette auto bell housing #12551118, Flywheel #12554130 and just a standard Perfection reman. pressure plate (was going to go with better clutch but motor is stock and just wanted to get conversion done).
I have found suggestions saying to use LS2 flywheel but not sure what combination of flywheel/clutch would be best. Apparently I need something a little more low profile, at least at the outer perimeter of the pressure plate in order to clear the inside of the bell housing.
Any help would be great.
