EngineTech Valves or Reuse OEM Valves?

I'll be sending a pair of 243's to AI for my head/cam build at the end of October. I want to minimize down time so I'm thinking of picking these up so I could send the heads for porting now so that it'll be ready as opposed to waiting 'til October to disassemble my 241's for it's valves. However, I haven't heard much of EngineTech's product quality. Anyone with some insight?

I wouldn't go buyng parts like that to send with heads. If you need valves and are planing to send the heads to AI why not ASK THEM what they have onhand or offer or worst case what he would prefer to work with if you send him new valves.
It is usually frowned upon to bring new parts to the machineshop, I know some engine shops actually raise labor rates if you bring parts yourself.
If you must buy valves first I would get them from the forum and get stock.

It's part of the price package. Along with the porting, they'll install your valvetrain as well:
"Pricing is for work applied to a pair (2) of cylinder head castings and components YOU supply unless otherwise noted. We are happy to build your heads with whichever spring kit, valve, etc. you would like."
