Angry chaging tranny filter, cannot get seal out

I am changing my tranny filter and I cannot get the seal out of the tranny. It,s a 4L60E I,ve already reused the seal once and wanted to change it this time. Seems like it is a pressed fit I have used every tool I could think of and can,t get it out any ideas would be helpful.

I had the same problem I tried everything but faild, the seal looked as if it was melted in there so I just gave up and left it in there and 2k later my tranny started to slip but I am not sure if the seal caused it, so try every to get it out.

I have the same seal and have changed the filter twice and no problems. I always put alittle grease on the neck of the filter to help it slide in without damaging the seal.

If you have not damaged it leave it in and use Hawks advice. That thing is a PITA to get off and probably will need to be split,be careful not to damage anything.
