Question wierd noise inside cam only Ls1


full bolt on 100k mile Ls1 stock bottom end cam specs are 227/231 613/617 111+4 Lsa has harland sharp rocker arms non adjustable 650 lift dual springs..so far I've pulled both valve covers and the last 2 push rods on the passenger side to check if they are bent them seemed pretty straight..the car can fire right up and has excellent oil psi I run full syn mobile 1 10-40w and thoughts on this problem will help thanks.

Are all your rockers torqued down to spec?

Yes they are to 22FT Lbs if this noise is a lifter going bad will it sound like this also?

Other than a gasket leak and my old rims in the video, its sounds to me like a lifter on its way out. Time for some ls7 lifters to suite your needs

I'm gonna order some prolly this week and I actually wanna go back to chrome ss stocks so I'm either gonna sale or trade these C6 wheels :-)

Either their straight or bent; no middle ground. Make sure you check all the PRs and rockers for damage or abnormal wear. I'd also check for a exhaust leak, especially if your gas mileage has dropped a noticeable amount. If all of that checks out fine then I clearly would say it's a bad lifter.

I'm in the process of checking all that stuff now...what do you think can be the cause of my headers glowing cherry red when the car idles from a cold start sometimes

Either it's running really lean, or the timing is being retarded a lot. Do you have any codes pop-up?
