5.3 LM7 Build Hey all. Me and a couple of buddies found a 5.3 LM7 for sale for very cheap. We are all considering buying it, tearing it apart, dropping some money into it and building it back up, and either start a little car project and take it to the track or juat try and sell it for a little profit. Got some questions though. I have been searching the forum on 5.3s and everyone seems to like them in that they have very good potential.
Was looking at specs, the stroke is the same and the LS1 bore is 3.898in(99mm) while the LM7 bore is 96.01mm 3.78 in. This tells me that basically the bigger discplacement in the LS1 is only because of the bore and I could get the LM7 bored to become a 5.7l correct?
I haven't really been able to find many parts online to build a 5.3. I have been trying to search around to just get some idea of prices. Is there any good places? My buddy told me the 5.3 is fairly priced to build. But if I make it a 5.7, I would have to get applicable parts for a 5.7 I know. Also, I have a machine shop already so that is not a concern.
What are some things that you would recommend doing with the 5.3? Auggestions on builds? Etc.
Just trying to get all my info straight before I go buy it. This will be basically my firat engine build.

With the LM7, I have been trying to find around on google the exact dimensions of it. Cylinder wall thinkness, etc. Any idea on the bore limits on it?
