285/40/18 Front Tire?
Will a 285/40/18 tire fit the front of a 4th Gen F-body or will it rub? Not sure if this will even work, but I am trying to retain the ABS while running a 28" tall rear tire. I've read that the ABS will still function as long as the diffeence between the tire heigh is within ~5%, which is why I am wondering is a 27" tall tire will fit in the front.
I've seen pics of 275/40/18s on the front of 4th Gen F-bodys but cannot find any pics of 285/40/18s. I dont think the 26.6" height of the 275s would be enough to keep the ABS functioning properly. Rear tires are going to be M&H Drag Radials 325/40/18. Car will be around 1000hp. Any ideas....

I have heard of 275-40-18s working for the front I personally think it would be pushing it. I am stock ride height and my 275-35-18s cut it pretty close when the steering wheel is turned all the way. There was one guy on here with alot of suspension mods that was running 305s on the front not sure on his recipe though.
Sorry just reread your posts i told you what you already know, sorry i couldnt help more.
