Default E85 timing with boost on Gen III's?

I just finished my build, and am learning about my MS3X and tuner studio. I don't have the EBC doing anything yet, my EMUSA 46mm is doing all the work! (7psi baby) I'm getting used to this before crank the boost up. I've got it at 18* right now with 7psi.

Setup:

5.3
241 heads (stock 5.3 heads had a bunch of studs sheered off and I didn't wanna waste time hitting water jackets) so it's roughly 9:1
hand me down cam (212 224 .550, with a 112 lsa *I think*), I know it made decent power on a pump gas 6.0
TH400 with a PTC converter.
95lb injectors, and a magnafuel 625
MP 76mm Q trim (I know, it's choking!)
3" thick, 24" X 10" intercooler.

I don't have the knock module with my MS3X, so I'm just gonna try to listen for the knocking over my open downpipe, and trunk mounted magnafuel 625.

Just curious as to what some of the timing is you guys are running with similar setups on E85. I've got about $1000 in the longblock, so I'm not scared to turn it up.

I'm thinking about 24* at 5psi, 22* at 10, and 20* @ 15.

If I only knew what a MSX3, a EBC, and a EMUSA was maybe I could help....lol.

Other than that.... what you have the timing set at is really close to mine.

15 degrees on e85 at 20 psi is very conservative. im running 15 at peak tq with pump and meth at 20 psi and it is stable as can be, e85 can handle timing like 110 race gas can.

LMFAO, sorry I was so vague my friend! Now when you say really close, do you mean yours is more on the aggressive side? or Romney side?

If fueling is good I would run up to 24* at 10psi if the car picks up mph or hp on the way. At 20psi you should be in the high teens, unless you have a really good intercooler.

Id be watching plugs more than going by what others just say

E50 with one small nozzle of water/meth i picked up 2mph in the 8th going from 19-20* up to 22-23* timing

15psi boost, 10:1 motor. 7 range plugs, and looked just fine

22lbs, 26*, 9:2:1 using a B10EFS plug
This was also when I never had rear steam ports hooked up on the back of the heads and cracked a cylinder so I think it contributed to nipping a piston. When I say nipped it you could just see where it barely started to melt the piston area was smaller than a pencil eraser. I am using Wiseco pistons so I'm sure if it was stock pistons it would have been good night on that timing. I switched turbo's to make power alot easier without timing now. I think the most i'd ever run now is 20. no need to run anymore

It ramps in just like yours and mine ended up at 14.5 degrees on my log at 20psi. Yes it is conservative.... a nice friendly street tune.

I was waiting for someone to say this.

This will tell you what to do not just what someone on the internet did.

Also timing isn't what makes power, it only changes when the mixture is lit.

Fuel/air mixture along with cylinder pressure and proper valve events is what makes power
