Default cheap turbo vs more expensive turbo help

Going forced induction, single 76mm. Street car rarely at the strip. Either going with a mp t76 ball bearing or a precision 7675 ball bearing. Little over a grand difference between them I know. Trying to justify which one to go with. Or which is best for daily driver/ FUN street car. Just looking for some info from people that have used both. First time turboing anything just wanna do it right.

Go with the precision. You have a nice low mileage vette don't cheap out. And that thing will make killer power

Don't waste your money on a ball bearing unit. Journal bearing works just fine esp. On a street car app. That should save you $400-500 on that precision.

If it wouldnt kill you to spend the extra money go with the precision. I wouldnt rule out turbonetics either for a street build. They make some nice reliable turbos for really good prices.

Thanks guys for the input. Any info on a good unit for w/g and boost controller would be much appreciated. I don't mind spending a little extra on the smaller stuff. I want a solid base.

Go tial on the bov and wg. I've had very good luck with those. For a basic street car that doesn't need any fancy boost ramp rates for launching the aem truboost works very well. I have been running that for years with no issues

Tial for the wastegate, BOV you can decide yourself they are pretty simple. I runt he eboost street which has most of the features of the eboost 2 at less then half the price.
