Default Clutch or tranny vibration?? Suddenly started doing it..

Ok so I was in first and gas'd it a good bit from 2k to about 5k and let off. Right after that I started getting a bad vibration in all gears from 1600-2400 rpms...I'm thinkin pilot bearing or clutch somehow got unaligned...what do yall think?

Vibration there regardless of clutch engaged/disengaged? While in neutral with clutch engaged/disengaged? Power loss?

Only when clutch is engaged. Only in gear. No noticed power loss.

Take the dust cover off the trans and see if there are any obvious signs. Just to clarify, can you be at a standstill, in neutral, engage and disengage the clutch and there be a vibration when clutch is engaged?

Highly unlikely it's clutch or trans related if you are sitting still in neutral regardless of whether the clutch is engaged or not.
Dust cover really not required.

Okay so I just cranked her up and the clutch was chattering like hell while I was holding the pedal down (disengaged) I turned it off right away because it sounded like it was about to blow lol. Time to rip the tranny back out.

I'm wondering if it's a loose flywheel...

Okay so I pulled the tranny and the flywheel bolts are hand loose.. good thing I won't need a new clutch lol. Does anyone know what the bolt size is for the flywheel bolts?

I don't think it would be a good idea to reuse that flywheel. It's very possible the bolt holes as well as the centering flange hole have been elongated and may not sit true on the crank causing more vibration. You should also inspect/replace the pilot bushing/bearing and inspect the input shaft on the trans to make sure it too was not marred/damaged.
At the very least I'd have a machine shop look at the flywheel to see if it's still good.

Either get the bolts from GM or buy these:

Keep them then, unless there are signs of damage. You will also want to make sure the clutch disk is not bent. There's no reason for the ARP bolts to back out. IIRC the torque spec for the flywheel bolts are 74ft lbs. You may want to look it up to be sure, or call ARP and ask them what they recommend the bolts be torqued since they may have a different rating than stock GM bolts.

Honestly the guy that owned it before me didn't know much about cars and the only thing he did was change the clutch/flywheel. I think all of the parts are still good. Because I woke up one morning, started it and it started happening. I immediately shut it if and haven't run it since. It was vibrating a little the night before it got really bad. But that's it.

Use locktite on the flywheel bolts when reassembling and torque to spec. They won't back out.

I was researching and was think of using a helicoil kit to fix this issue. Will helicoil work with flywheel/crank bolt holes?
