Default How long to warm up?

How long does it usually take auto trannies to warm up? I just installed a temp gauge and took my car for a drive. I drove around for 15 minutes or so romping on it a little and it just barely got to 150* and took the whole time to get to that. Not sure if I broke the sending unit or it's normal to take that long to warm up. Thanks.

from what i remember trans temp is about 30 degrees below eng. temp.

15 min. should be long enough to get an accurate reading.

Do you have a cooler catching airflow? May run cooler than you think

Yeah I have the cooler mounted in front of the radiator with no A/C condensor. The sending unit is definitely messed up though 'cause it's not working at all now. I ordered a new one and I'll have to be extra careful while installing.
