Default 1 quart of auto tranny fluid in a full tank of gas.....

No....I didn't do this.

But, a guy with a 9 second sprayed Vette in West Palm Beach told me that its the best way to clean your fuel injectors. He said he does it once every couple months. And his Vette and the same motor are 3 years old.

Lemmie have it.................

Ive done it, I dont know If I would do it in the hawk because I think the o2s would like it, but the blazer gets a qt every month to keep it clean. And I used to run it threw the powerstrokes when theyed start running rough and it would usually smooh them out after it ran threw the tank. It does cause some smoke in the blazer though.

What is the theory behind this? I know it is to clean the injectors....but what's in ATF that does it?

And why would someone buy a quart of ATF when Injector Cleaner is the same money?

ATF is very good detergent and has some strong cleaners. This is a very old practice people many years ago would do it to carb cars I have not heard of it in injector cars. There is some very good fuel cleaners I would use before ATF.

Thats just me.
