Default lq4 and t56 prices?

I am have been looking for a lq4 and t56 for my swap and cant find much that seems reasonably priced near me. What should I keep in mind for a complete lq4 pullout with 80-100k on it? and a used t56?

Thanks

Junk yards get anywhere from 500-1500 for an LQ4 pullout.

IF you can find a used t56 that isnt trashed, its worth in the 1500 range.

Mine came from a "running" car.... but still needed 900 dollars in parts to get it back on the road.

Happy shopping!

Got a block & crank with the rockers, pedistals, sensors and cover plates for $300. I'll put decent rods, flat top Pistons and 243's on it. Prob a mild cam too.

I paid $1200 for a T56 and put $900 worth of parts in it when I built it.

T56 prices are all over the place, I paid $1200 or so for a stock one with bellhousing, new slave, a bell housing, fidanza alum flywheel and a shifter of some sort. Sold it for a bit more though once I decided not to use it. Now that I want one again I've been looking for months, seems like you can get a used tick level-3 or similar for $1500 from time to time with no clutch, or a stock one for $1200ish. Then there are people asking $2500 for "rebuilt" transmissions, and you'll soon notice that almost every single trans in the classifieds is rebuilt, yet sadly few have any proof of it (and I realize a handful of receipts isn't exactly proof). It sucks that no matter what you buy unless you see a viper output shaft you really can only guess at what's in there. I've almost given up and decided to buy a core and take advantage of Tick's free shipping both ways deal. Even after that, there are tons of little nickle-and -dime things to consider. Sorry for the long post but finding the right trans on a student (or I would imagine wife-imposed) budget can be difficult.

I picked up an LQ4 a few weeks ago for $350 and it was a complete pull out (all wiring, sensors, accessories, starter and intake and exhaust), even had the torque converter on it from the 4L80e
The down side was the wiring was cut, some manifold bolts were broken off in the head, and the heads are iron...but it was $350!
