Default optispark question

I have a 97 Z28 and every once in a while my car will spudder a little on take offs until it warms up a little. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a optispark problem and if so is a MSD any better then a OEM without the MSD box. I really dont want to pay big money on it. Any input will help. Thanks

Can't speak to the root cause of your cold shudder issue - but I will say that when I got my MSD box to made a world of difference in idle quality.

(BTW - Got mine used from a member here.)

What ever you do, if it ends up a opti issue buy only AC Delco or Delphi opti's. If you buy any other because it is cheap you will end up changing it out again in a very short amount of time.

Start with a basic tuneup. Don't jump on the "opti is crap" wagon. Plugs, wires, clean your MAF, maybe check the coil.
