Question 4l65 in a 98 z28.....

Is this possible? Anything have to be changed,etc?

It should work just put a 4l70e came out of a 2008 trialblazer ss had to change the rear tail housing think that's what its called. OTher than that everything else bolted right up

You will want to swap the linkage shaft as well but physically the trans will bolt up without any other external changes. I would recommend installing a shift kit to tailor the separator plate, the accumulators and also I would install a vet servo. Personally I have been using the sonnax kit in these units and have received some great results. I would add to their kit a set of abuse plugs for the valve body and a hd 2-3 shift valve to make a nice well balanced transmission. HTH Vince

Vince, its a fully built rpm trans w/a converter. I just didn't know if it would work.

As I said the linkage shaft is the only concern I would have. All the mods are already built into that unit so you are good to go.
