This is the reason most avoid this transmission.

The divorced shifter and three finger output flange (no slip yoke) scare most off. Without changing the transmission main shaft and case you have to get a little creative. Driveshaft - with a live axle you need to handle movement and would need a stub shaft slip yoke like a truck or at least a CV joint. The shifter could be shortened or use a McLeod shifter in the forward location. I am using a 2010 Camaro TR6060 with the same layout.

Details converting a vette or CTSv T56 into an F-body style. Depending on your skill level, it's not a difficult nor expensive procedure. The GTO mainshaft (stock 27 spline) or the massive SSR (32spline) mainshafts make the conversion possible.

I just bought a TR6060 for my Nova that I am building. For the shifter I am going to use this shifter
I have not decided how to handle the tail shaft yet. I also need to figure out the tranny mount.
I'm interested in seeing what other guys have done.

FWIW, there's a thread on converting the 6060 which is similar to the CTSv..
