Default 3.90 Gear question

So I'm currently stuck in a dilemma. Can't Figure out either if I want to go with 3.73 gears or 3.90 gears. Leaning more towards the 3.90 gears though...

My question is, at 6k rpms. What speed are you guys at in 4th gear? I would like to cut down my 4th gear because its pretty long. But I dont want to it to be ending at like 115mph or anything like that. Because I dont want to have to spray in 5th gear. I know its kind of a vague question... (I do more roll racing that I do track :/ )

http://www.bgsoflex.com/rpmmph.html

lots of calculators like this online, t56 ratios are 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, .74, .50

I had 3.73's at one point and would probably go 3.90's next time

I have 3.90's and I've had 4.10. To be honest I think your better off with 3.73's. Especially for roll racing. I have thought about changing to 3.73 myself.

With a 275/40/17 and 3.90 gears, about 117mph at 6k.
3.73s at 6k is about 123mph.

I currently have 3.90's and I have had 4:10s in my old H/C setups. They are very similar but I prefer the 3.90s. I dont think 3:73's would be worth swapping over 3:42s unless your into highway top speed runs.

Seems like a big difference from the 3:42's at 6k being around 130 - 135 mph...

i like the 3.90s , felt a good difference from 3.42 and motive 3.90s are strong.
my diff had two failures and the ring and pinion acted as a grinder both times ,cleaned up the gears re installed with minor nicks and was still quiet

Disregard on that. I saw that Motive sells them.
