horse power with t76 5.7 ls1
i was just wanting to see how much power some other peoples cars are making with a 5.7 t76 .96a/r , 60lb injectors, speed density, 340lph pump, stock bottom end(rebuilt though).
just anything close to my build would help..ill be tuning the car not on a dyno right now, by the way ill only be running 7lbs. just wanting to know what power ill be looking at having.

im curious as well. my setup will be the same for exception of doing s480 turbo. I have an lq4 im building forged for backup just want something now to play with why i slowly get the other engine done. plus was planning just to carry the 80mm turbo over to the 6.0l.

yea its stock ls1, just rebuilt with hv oil pump..fuel support and turbo..i do have some 317 heads but i wanna do work to them first and i want to get a cam kit.
how much boost do you think i could run safely with my setup? i was really hoping to get like 600hp after all the money i invested..i know its stock and all.

i have a set of 317s to put on it allready, i just wanna get atleast an ls6 intake with it..then im going to up the boost an just maybe run meth but i wanna keep my innercooler so i may not..idk ill just have to see how hot my cylinders are getting with just the innercooler and no meth with a computer setup and then go from there..but yea 10psi sounds good on a stock bottom end..i know for a fact that these ls1 engines can handle more than 550hp stock, if a freaking POS 302 ford block is a time bomb at 500-550 then im sure an ls1 is more than that. All about the tune!

dude its pretty nasty, i have a straight bone stock ls1 with the t76 its flippin nasty man, just make sure you have a badass clutch..i thought id be able to get by for a few with the stock clutch but the first race as soon as i shifted hard it went straight to the rev limiter..haha im trying to get a monster stage 3 as of right now..ive had no problems with the car yet at all..i have it on 8psi right now, its probroly around 530hp..i couldnt get it to run right on speed density btw, i had to use the stock mafs. after i get the clutch im putting my 317's on with the tri-layer metal head gaskets and studs and a ts228 cam. i want to be 650 after that. its an awesome car, im glad i spent the time and did the build..best of luck to you man.

dude, other then the stick shift, im nearly building up my build the same as your lol im i have a revmex stage 5 3200 stall built specifically for this build so i know that parts fine. the 4L60E might be another story but im not going too crazy nor do i beat the tranny to living hell every chance i get lol im looking to do 8psi after i get it safely tuned at 4spi for starters. wastegate limited so i dont do anything stupid lol but i have a 8psi spring in reserve lol
im pretty much ready to put it all together, just waiting for a few pieces to come in the mail. had the wrong intercooler sent to me by EMUSA so im waiting for the exchange. Real cool company though, sent out the replacment intercooler with no charge. got a nice 31x13x3 intercooler coming , a 44mm wastegate at 4psi (for now), 50mm BOV, 60lbs injectors, Racetronix pump and wires (already installed), aeromotive FPR and return line, LS6 intake manifold, catch can with LS6 Valley cover system, ON3 T76 .96 AR turbo, and all the little odds and ends like fittings and guages and whatnot lol
im setting mine up to run with the MAF (gm 85mm with built in IAT) and a gm 2 bar MAP. how did that work out for you? was it "hard" to get the car to run this way? also, tunewise, what should i keep an eye on when i get it tuned and what not. Im gonna get a wideband to help with this obviously, but any pointers would be cool. I dont have HP tuners so im at the mercy of dynoshops unfortunatly.
When get that all together and running, to see how it runs and to use as a base line, ill get a TSP 228R cam with 114lsa and 317 heads with pac 1218s. Got a LS6 oil pump waiting to go with this and a LS2 timing chain waiting as well.
cant wait to get mine together!

sounds good man, mine is just a bone stock ls1 rebuilt with a hv hp oil pump..im on 8psi right now and i swear its close to 600hp..i outran a 2008 yamaha 600 with ease and ran a gsx1000 but clutch started slipping badly but that was on 4psi..i am on 8psi now. but tuning wise i used EFI Live with my teacher at my school and it was simply to tune with the mafs and the 2 bar map but we had so many problems swapping mine to speed density..his turbo ls6 vette worked out fine SD but mine wouldnt have it..haha posting up a new thread of my car completed right now...let me know what your numbers are at the dyno shop on 4psi..id like to know.

i have a stock ls1 with ls6 intake manifold. everything is stock except for custom headers n the rest of the exhaust. i have a master power t76 with .96 a/r. 60 lb injectors, speed density tune...at 8 psi i put down 483 rwhp and 502 tqe. im sure with better flowing heads and a cam you can make higher numbers at the same boost lvl. dont get too hyped by these folks saying "it feels like 550-600rwhp @ 7-8psi"....its not..

"dont believe me just watch" haha i know what your saying AWD-RWD RACER but my car does feel close to 600hp..ill never know till i hit the dyno..even though half the dyno's in the world scale differently and give out higher and lower numbers..haha i had a funny situation with that one day.
