Default Headers

I'm curious if anyone has tried a set of shorty headers from a 2010+ on a 68-72 chevelle. Looks like a fit only concern being possible interference on driver side with steering shaft. I need some ground clearance and saw a set from JBA that might be viable.

When you say that you need some ground clearance, do you already have a set of headers that are too low?

For about the same money you can buy a set of headers built for the car that really fit tight. Take a look at Dougs. Best ground clearance out there.

Why not modify the ones you have and just lift them up a little?

Currently running the edlbrock conversion headders which would be fine if car wasn't lowered. Would prefer the shortys over going back with a factory manifold if there's a chance they would fit.

Why not just cut the tubes and take like an inch off so they sit up closer to the body?
