4.8 Turbo: Th400 trans question?

Yes,
It is vacuum controlled if using a automatic shift valve body. You can use a check/relief valve in the circuit. I stock them. In big boost applications, sometimes 2 reliefs are good.

When it is on boost it will go to full line pressure, boost will bleed off at the check reliefs, and shift slightly later.
We have quite a bit of experience with boosted applications using TH400's and 4L80E's.
Look up fullblown03 on Youtube, he is running one of our TH400's in a turbo'd 03 Cobra, knocking on the door to running 7's in the 1/4 mile. We're going to freshen it this winter and do some lightening of parts and more mods to go faster.
