guy selling a cam, what type of setup is it for?
A buddy of mine told me he knows someone selling a lt1 cam for cheap brand new never used.
Texted me a pic of the receipt with grind info
Intake 230 exhaust 230 lobe separation 114 duration @ .050
Can anyone tell me what type of set up that would be good for and what shelf cam that would compare to?

Not yet. Track is now closed for winter. My biggest reason I didn't take it to the track was I had those 18" corvette wheels on the back with bald nitto 555rs.
I did not want to go to the track and be disappointed due to a bad wheel / tire set up
I did finally get some 15x10 race star wheels with MT ET Streets on them. So once the track opens back up I am definately going to see what I can get her to run.
I gotta feeling I will be happy with the results. Gregg built this car very well. For what cam it has in it ( hot cam ) and very mild ported heads this car screams.
I do have to be honest though, I am seriously considering a cam swap during the winter though. Not because the car doesn't run good enough, but I just want a more aggressive idle then what the hot cam has to offer. I also feel there is a bit more power I can get out of her with a bigger cam and a dyno tune instead of mail order tune.
I will keep everyone updated as soon as I make it to the track and what I decide to change on the car.
I dobtw know if you seen my post from not to long ago, I did change the exhaust to a bullet dump. Made a big difference. I did use the bullet that was already on the car that was replaced were the rear cat was. Sounds good at idle. Up top though it sounds like ****. Gonna buy a dynomax bullet and put it on myself and should be good to go.

Without any more information about that cam, I'd pass and get one spec'd for your goals if you're willing to go through all the time and expense of a a cam swap. Seriously, just get it right while you're doing it. At first glance, it doesn't sound like anything special, certainly not for a NA motor.
