I wouldn't swap intakes just yet...do some research. The truck intake is better than the LS1 intake so go with the Fast truck intake if you want an upgrade. Also check out Vinci High Performance because they specialize in truck camshafts. Texas Speed or one of our sponsers can help recommend a camshaft and the springs too. The LS7 lifters are a good bet and are resonable as well. Good luck on the build!

Edit: I forgot the Trailblazer SS intake is an upgrade too but wont be as effective as the Fast....

no problem man also you may want to check out the Performance Trucks forum that has the tab at the top of this site. I go there for all of my truck questions because the 4.8 and 5.3 is used on LS1tech but they came in all the trucks unless it was a 2500+ truck. There is a TON of info there and the guys are awesome on it.

+1 on performance trucks. Read on there. Some of those guys have built some bad *** trucks.

Springs are a must!!! ...lifters you can go with ls7 with low lift cam(600 or less). Get a ls6 intake..ls1 intake suck, plain n simple. I suggest trunion rockers upgrade if you can. 243 heads would be awesome :-)

I went with Lunati street link bar lifters for piece of mind..read too many horror stories on ls7 lifters.
