I purchased 2005 243 head and rockers to put on my 1998 ls1 stock engine, my question is what is the best cam choice and do I have to change my push rods?

Do a search, and yes you will probably need different pushrods. If you want a cam its in your best interest to upgrade those anyway

Put and 03 LS6 405 horse cam in it. Drives like stock and will make upper 300's to the wheels with an LS6 intake.

I used stock pushrods, mill the heads to 60-62cc for some more torque.

Really epends on what you want to do with the car
Id call one of the site sponsors, have one of them reccomend an off the shelf grind, or a custom cam for your setup
texas speed has a bunch of cams and a good price for cam kits.
Martin at tick performance has also introduced a bunch of new grinds here lately that seem to have good results.
