A lot riding on tonight for my SBE N2O car....
Alright guys, I haven't been posting much this year due to taking a new position at work and trying my hardest to get things straight. Well it's time to get back on the track and make a few hits.
My goal tonight is to clip anything in the 9.60 range, i honestly will be happy with a 9.69. My best pass so far is 9.74 at 137. However when i made this pass I felt that there was still some power left on the table but it just wasn't in the cards that track day to make it happen. I know to some the difference between a 9.74 and a 9.69 is nothing but for me it's a lot. I don't do this for a class or for a specific record even though it would be nice to hold a record for awhile. I do this to test myself and see how far i can push the envelope.
Right now I am the fastest SBE Cam Only car on the "Official Stock Cube Nitrous List". I am sure there are others faster than me that just don't post up or maybe are on other sites but for LS1Tech it appears that i am the fastest (1/4 mile that is). Remember my car is as close to stock as I've seen running these times. SBE, stock TB, stock 853 heads, stock 28lb injectors, stock maf, stock ls6 intake, stock fuel rail, stock k-member, stock motor mounts lol... I run the 78mm Nitro Dave plate and I weigh approx 3300lbs.
So on to the good stuff. Plan A. If I beat my PB tonight and go into the 9.60 range I am upgrading my setup. I am going with a Vic Jr with spray bars by Nitro Dave, 2" Kooks headers and a dedicated fuel cell (still pulling off the rails for now). My hopes is that this setup will get me into the 9.3 zone with stock heads. I might have to go back and have my stall redone and I may go to a Drag Radial also.
Plan B. If i have missed my tune-up and pop my motor tonight its time for bigger cubes and more spray. I probably will leave the car broke down for a while so I can save to build the motor I want. If I take this route my new goal is 8.50s in a car I can daily drive if I wanted to, not that I would but I want it to be capable. One stipulation of mine since I was a teenager was always be able to drive to and from the track in what i race. Again this is a personal goal of mine, to each his own.
So for those that wondered if i had feel off the face of the earth, well not yet. just had to get some things straightened out personally before I could get back to the track. Here are a few pics I took this morning of my car, she is locked and loaded!!!

Thanks man! Motor has about 52,000 miles. Th400 is not real friendly on the street due to the 26in tire and 375 gears. I kind of wish I had gone with a taller gear but you live and learn. Now if i was to run a 28in tire everyday it wouldn't be too bad at all cruising at 65. Then add to that a 350 gear and it would be fine for everyday, for me at least.
