Unless you strip the car down completely, don't change the color so drastically...it would drive me nuts to have any remnant of the oem color left if I went with a different color...yuck. And on newer cars, like these, it seems the paint *everything*! I had a hard enough time going from the oem red (more like orange) to the red pearl metallic on my chevelle and couldn't imagine going totally different, even though everything visible was the new color and luckily on the older cars, they didn't use body color on everything.
As far as white, I used to really like that color and thought it looked good on these when I saw the firs tone somebody did a few years ago, but anymore not so much a fan (esp. considering the effort) as there as just too many other oem colors that look better IMO and are already done.
Pearl white is nice on some cars though, but is a real pita to try and match.

I'm a huge fan of white on these cars. They have a lot of black trim so the white adds to the illusion of high contrast - something all of my cars have followed. So I would never say white is out of the cards for me...plastidip your car white and see if you like it. If you don't, peel it off and go on about your day.

I've never seen the thr plasti dip stuff on car bodies.....I was talking adout Samsung/preping the far and painting it with a white automotive sealer or even a zinc chromate paint like used on boat hauls.....you can get a number of light pastels as well as white in either type of these paints

Yes, plasti-dip just peels off and does not damage your paint so far as I can tell. It might contribute to more microscopic swirls, but most people have those pretty bad anyways, you will get those just from washing your car. The only way to really prevent those swirls is methodical hand washing and keeping your car in a garage and never driving it.

I know of 3 right now in St. Louis alone. Like I said, it's getting to be overdone.
