Default whacked an Iguana tonight :) (vidz)

ok... so i'm drivin home from a mod day... i'm on 290 east and see this goofy looking car w/gay *** graphics down the side of it that say "Iguana"

He's driving like an *** weaving in and out of lanes ...

so when we get onto 53/355/290 (heading N) he was in the right lane that ends and I was in the lane next to it... so he went to try to get in front of me but I wouldn't let him (egged him on a lil .. first vid on page)

so I slow down to 70 and he changes 2 lanes to get to the lane to my immediate left ... I let him get to my rear bumper (so he was going faster than me... ) and then hit it... he pulled past right away cause he was already going faster but that didn't last long

Guess he was pissed after loosing to a 4 door cause then he did a normal fly by weaving inbetween cars (at 1 point it looked like he was going to loose control... you could see the car wasn't going where he wanted but he didn't wipe )

Feels good beating this riced out POS in my basically stock 4 door family car hehe

BTW this was in my Grand prix heh ... TA is having technical difficulties right now ...

I like it, it's pretty peppy (i've also put a 3.4" pulley on it)

Things I like:
Seats are really comfortable...
Rear doors open up much wider than previous model years
HUD is really nice, shows speed, direction, current gear (if in tap shift mode) , and outside temp

The car's got plenty of pickup for a daily driver, plus it's nice cause it's a 4 door so I can easily have a bunch of people in my car... the trunk is HUGE

The tapshift thing is a novelty item... I used it a bunch when I got the car, now I just keep it in drive... it doesn't shift instantaneous (about 1/3 to 1/2 second delay) , won't shift any higher than the normal rev limiter, and it shifts for you automatically if you could cause damage (smart thing though... basically can't gun it in 4th gear, and when stopping it'll auto downshift to 1st, can't start in 3rd gear, that kinda stuff)

the thing's surprisingly torquey down low and feels really good up top. The chrome plated 17" wheels it comes with are a nice touch too... I think they look really good on the car so no need to buy another set of rims (other than my 16" winter rims)

GM's done an amazing job w/the torque steer problem too... it's virtually non-existent.

Also I believe the comp G has tighter suspension and different steering gearing (tighter) ... doesn't ride like a luxury car (can get bumpy) but it feels good in the car... the car just hugs the road, takes turns really well and doesn't feel like hte car's getting away from you.

Overall I think GM did a very good job with it... great daily driver type car ... i havent driven a GT2 or GT1 yet so not sure how they compare to the Comp G upgrade... but talking to some other grand prix folks yesterday sounds like the GT2 hugs the road pretty well too ...

ok just found out it was a 350z (few buds IMed me saying they've seen the car before)

one of my budz is going to give the video link to a friend of his that knows the kid w/the iguana then ask him if he wants to go again... I'll even let him pick which car to race hehe

i hear stories all over the range on the 350z. some people say they're slow as ***** (Which is what i have witnessed from the couple i saw running at the track last time i went). others say they're pretty suprising.

i wonder if nissan is having a horrible monday/friday problem with these things or something...

Yeah, I love mine. If you get tired of something just flip to the type of music you feel like listening to.

Good story and kill.

haha... nice... I saw a Lancer the other day when I was out to red lobster for my birthday. It was black with a big red and gold dragon painted on the side, and some interesting rims. of course it had a fart can... Its kinda funny seeing something like that... I would think that the 350z might be a pretty good match for the GP... guess not... kinda sad if the guy was really trying... nice story though.

Oh yeah... off topic, but I just saw your T/A, and the pic with the nitrous purge coming out the "nostrils" of the hood. I think that is so baddass looking... nice clean cars-both of them...
