Rebuilding an LT1, freshing up bottem end with aluminum heads. I have a complete comp cam kit laying around. It's the Thumper series, Duration is 295/313 and the lift is 500/486. Will this work with stock bottom end and rebuilt trans with stock converter? May be a stupid question for some, but not to me.....

You will need to have the nose of the cam drilled (if you are using it with a vented opti) otherwise it won't work. Also the cam needs to be step-nosed (for 87+ roller blocks). I suggest getting an LT1-specific cam, not that monstrosity.

And ideally those duration/lift numbers are awful for a "freshened up bottom end" with stock heads and a stock converter.
