Mach 1 vs.....wait for it....SRT8 Walking out of work I hear a car reving. I'm parked in the direction so I walk over to see two business men standing by a black car. The guy parks in this area all the time and I've looked at it before. It's a black SRT8 300 with silver bembo brakes on 10 spoke wheels with double walled exhaust (aftermarket?). After hearing it I could tell it definately was aftermarket. Well I walk by as the guy was getting in his car so I get in the Mach and start it up. 
Leaving he gave it a little gas to impress his buddy that was now getting in his Hyundai (I guess a SRT8 would be impressive to a Hyundai owner) and I could tell it was an automatic. Well just so happens he was going the way I was so I figured I would chase him down, not that I wouldn't have gone the other way. 
Leaving I got a little tire spinning to heat up the tires some.
I caught up to him and lined up at the same redlight that Sepno and I lined up at.
I looked over at him and nodded. He had a smirk on his face and I told him that his car sounded good and asked him to rev it so he did for me. I then reved mine and he had a grin on his face. Light turned green and I left somewhere a little below 2,000rpms (no I didn't cheat and launch above 3,000rpms) with no wheel spin and the 300 instantly lost half a car or more off the line. 
7,000rpms came and I powershifted into 2nd while getting slight wheel hop. At this point he was at least 1.5 to 2 lengths back and falling. By the time I hit 3rd gear I think he gave up because he was a good 4 lengths or more. 
Now I know a SRT8 isn't going to lose to a Mach 1 with a couple mods so I'm going to assume it was driver error on his part. But I figured you guys might like the story, I know I went home with a grin. Wonder if he will try again?

ROFL Stoppy's been here in SRK, just hiding in the shadows. He was on a few days back, etc. Surprised Automach hasn't come in here with a youtube video of this very event that happened that he so happened to run across. LMAO Nevermind that the SRT8 might look like a Neon. That wouldn't be the point.

Nothing you Control+V into this thread will change the fact you are a fanboy. I just want to see you driving your mach while holding today's newspaper. Thats about all.
