Default SLP Loudmouth for lt1 good sound?

Ok so I finally have enough money to buy a catback lol. Ive decided to go with the new updated version of the loudmouth 1! It supposably gives you the freedom to exchange the resonator to the loudmouth 2 muffler whenever you want! What do you guys think? PLus the tips look bitchin man! CLick the ebay link!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SLP-Loud...fa7a&vxp=mtrOh

btw Its a daily drive, is the loudmouth 1 noise too loud? Oh and how am I going to be able to install the kit without the lt1 brackets thingy since they seem not to sell them anymore?

Too loud is an opinion but generally you should be pretty darn happy. Probably the best cat-back if you don't plan on doing headers later on. You can DD just a slp cat-back no problem on a stock car.

Might want to check this out, almost identical to the SLP loud mouth.

^ yes im 100% set on the TSP rumbler, seem to have no complaints, its cheap and i like the fact you can buy without tips so you can get the ones you really want. I wont ever be catless and headers are far down the road if at all so the sound shouldnt be too loud/raspy.

I love the loudmouth exhaust. The loudmouth 2 is still a resonator it's just a different style to mellow it out a bit. That one you listed is for a ls car, some work will need to be done if I remember correctly. Just to the front of the I pipe, where it connects to the Y pipe. I would go Magnaflow over anything though.

I can't stand mine and can't wait to get rid of it. It's too damn loud and raspy. It doesn't sound horrible with cats and stock manifolds but with my LT's and no cats it is too much and sounds like ****.

As others have said, it sounds good with stock manifolds and cats, but gets annoying with LT's. I exchanged the LM1 resonator with a Dynomax bullet.

How much different is it? I really want a hooker aerochamber system otherwise. Hell i'll take anything to get rid of that horrible exhaust.

i've got the slp lm1 with the 4 inch tips... the tips from the rear look fantastic not a complaint about those, but from a side you can see them go from the 2.5in to 4in and its kind of drastic.... on another note the car will sound great its loud gets a little raspy but generally can awaken a cars sound without the use of longtubes or removal of cats... agreed about the longtubes and no cats... it can get rather annoying, although it doesn't sound to bad in cabin but i rarley drive my car anyways...

More rasp, and it drones while cruising around 2k rpm. But if you like it loud, I say go for it. I have a sound clip of it at home I can link to you later.

ok you guys now Im scared of having neighbor problems lol, well I mean I only am going to keep the manifolds stock with the cat, don't plan anytime soon for headers. Is it still that loud? If so I want to go with magna flow, but the problem is that I want to put these tips on it corsa clones http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-inlet-Cama...08fac8&vxp=mtr

and the magna flow long tips are 3.5 wide, so I can't snug them on top of it. What can I do?

I have the LM1 with stock manifolds and a gutted cat. It is really really loud at cold startup. If my car was a DD, I would get rid of it.

I removed my LM1 because it was just too loud for everyone around including the law. I have longtubes and no cats so I'm sure that didn't help any. I replaced it with a Hooker and really like it. I might try a Dynomax 3" in/dual 3" out crossflow sometime later though.

Where do you live, maybe you can find somebody on here that has an SLP or Magna that you can listen to.
