Help with Strano strut shock (upper/lower perch)
Just installed Stranos dual adjustable shocks in the rear and did the heater hose mod. The stance in the rear is perfect not to low not to high. So now its time to install the 4X4 up front (#191432). It looks like the front and rear are even but I was wondering if the new shocks will lift the front end since they are new. My old shocks are the factory 12 year shocks (2000 ws-6) and I have an iron block which is heavier than aluminum block. The combination of the heavy block and worn out/shot struts leads me to think that the only rason it sits low is because of this. So what does everyone think go with upper perch or the lower perch to keep it nice and even. Any help greatly appreciated.

Sorry guys I didn't mention that this is on stock springs. I spoke to Strano the other day and I mentioned the lower perch but he never mentioned anything about warranty. So the question still is, if I use the upper perch then will my front end rise since the shocks are new?

I can tell you since I have his springs that the fronts take time to settle down. I have the konis on upper perch and stranos and the front lowered about 1.25 inch. But with your iron block I would venture to guess that it will lower it more than mine with the addn 75 lbs.

Use the upper perch up front and if you dont like the stance remove the heater hose mod and re install the spring mounts. Most guys dont do both the Strano springs and hose mod cause its recommended to use the upper perch up front when installing the front springs. Now if the block makes the difference your good but like mentioned it might take a bit for the front to settle so be patient. Luckly the rear springs are much easier to install so it's a quick fix.
