Looking into upgrading. Wondering if this is a good choice. Car will be a DD, I dont care too much about gas mileage but I dont want to rape it either I am looking to gain at least 120HP/100TQ. I already plan on installing a Volant Cold Air intake and a smooth bellows.

Car is a 02' 100% stock M6 T/A Ws6

Unsure of what brand and size:

Stroked LS1 to 383 or > with 4" or >

Cammed

Cut out

Borla, or Magnaflow, or Flowmasters?

Chip

Throttle body 90mm or > and Fast intake (LS6 or what?)

Spec 2 clutch? Ive heard they stall easily.

Cammed-228R, torquer V2, custom grind

Cut out - it helps

Borla, or Magnaflow, or Flowmasters?Borla or Madnaflow. Flowmaster is a no no.

Chip-No chip. dyno tune or mail order tune at the minimum

Throttle body 90mm or > and Fast intake (LS6 or what?)used fast 90/90, 85mm MAF

Spec 2 clutch? Ive heard they stall easily.
Monster stage 2 or 3 depending on driving habits and feel that you want.

you should also look into getting a set of used 243's and get them ported and polished and you would also need to upgrade rearend to a S60, 9". or 12 bolt. Anything but the stock 10 bolt.

I would start out telling you that the smooth bellows just looks pretty and you want to increase power not waste time and money. And the Volant Cold Air would be my last choice after the Chris1313 and the Fast Toys ram air. I would do the free mods and then get a good set of long tubes and start from there.

consider getting a 383 rotating assembly to use with you current block,if you have a good engine builder close by.look at some TSP PRC 225 cast heads.get a fast 102 intake with a custom cam.you mite make 475+ rwhp with the right cam,and a good tuner.

For the power you are looking for, I would start with the basic bolt-ons (long tube headers, full exhaust, and a lid). I would follow with cylinder heads, camshaft and intake manifold. Your transmission and rearend will probably need to be tended to these items to handle the power. Lastly a good tune. With the correct combination you can have a powerful daily driver that can still be easy to drive.

To reemphasize what was said earlier, canned tuning(plug and play tuners) is not an option when you start modding. EFI live or HP tuners is the way to go with a reputable tuner.
