As the title says, which starter to us on my 67 nova? LY6 block using t56 from 2006 GTO? I purchased a tick performance clutch kit which comes with monster 2 clutch and flywheel, slave, mc, etc...

Are you using a GTO T56 bellhousing also?

The starter for a GTO bell housing is just a little bit smaller than a F body starter, the GTO starter WILL work on a Fbody T56 bell housing. The Fbody starter WILL NOT fit in a GTO T56 bell housing, although I have read some threads where people have ground out the GTO T56 bell housing to make the Fbody starter work.

So no matter what I'm safe with a GTO starter? Even if the flywheel is not GTO or are all manual flywheels the same?

Do a search, seems GTO flywheels, sterters, bellhousings are not the same as vette, f body, or truck.

Just found out that I bought a f body fly wheel.. He said if its a GTO bell housing then use GTO starter bc that's really the only difference is the starter pocket.

2004 GTO and 1998-2002 flywheel is a LS1 style
2005-2006 GTO is a LS2 style
Flywheels will not interchange from LS1 to LS2 the pressure plates are also different, I am not sure if the actual clutch disc is different.
