Default Seibon Carbon WS6 hood (GMHTP)

Looks like the cat is out of the bag...

We've been working with Seibon Carbon and Vengeance Racing to build a high-quality, standing mile ready, carbon fiber WS6 hood for the '98-02 Trans Am and it's almost ready to ship out. Here is a sneak peak photo from SEMA, we should be getting many more pictures soon.

It should be noted that the underside of the hood has been reworked to maximize clearance, but that's all we can say for now. Pricing and whatnot can be found elsewhere; we obviously don't sell hoods.

Damn! Im not a fan of carbon fiber at all, but that hood looks really nice. I have a VFN WS9 hood right now, but thats one good looking hood!

We'll have more as soon as SEMA is over and the hood is delivered to Vengeance.

If anyone is at SEMA now, check out the Seibon booth and post up some photos!

Yeah, it's going to be hard to cut a 5-inch (and 2.5-inch) hole in it but, you gotta do what you gotta do!

I do need a hood but would like to see it installed etc.

Price is damn good though if it fits like it should.

Obviously we haven't installed this yet but we're expecting fit and finish to be perfect, as Seibon built the carbon mold from my OEM WS6 hood and have a long history of excellent fitment with their carbon pieces. Of course, we will report back on those (and more) in an upcoming issue of GMHTP. Hopefully some other SEMA bound members can get some pics and talk to Ryo at Seibon about the hood today/tomorrow and report back.

And yes, bolt on!

I would imagine it weighing the same, but its a LOT stronger

I could imagine at speeds of 200+mph a fiberglass hood could "flex or lift"
