Default Has anybody used the Torque Pro android app with racetrack record

Just wondering if anyone has used the Torque Pro app on their smartphones with the OBDII adapter and recorded anything with their f-body.

The application gives you real time data from your PCM by a bluetooth adapater paired to your phone. I'm really interested to see if anyone has used this or even used the video record function here:

The application site on google store is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.torque&hl=en

Anybody got anything to say bout this?

I've seen the videos too. I would definitely get it if I knew which BT adapter worked. It'd be fun to mess around with.

the best adapter is the scantool.net adapter which is 149 bucks but has a 3 year warranty, is nice and compact and has a power save mode that turns the unit off when the car is not running so you can just leave it plugged in, reviews on this piece are great and I was going to make my mom buy that for me for christmas since shes usually my parts supplier each winter lol. So if nobody has used this with an ls1 before than ill be putting my results up in late december.

I've been using it a little bit, not the video function though, just the scanning.

I bought a cheap ELM 327 OBDII to BT adapter on ebay. Works pretty darn good. Read and clear DTC codes, plus monitor many engine perameters for a total investment of about $25.

I have, it was one of the earliest versions though, it only did low quality video and a few dials. I haven't tried it lately:

App is fun but how do you get it to read boost on a turbo ls1 with a 3 bar map?

Not sure how you dug up a 2 year old post lol..... To answer your question... The app only reads what the computer see's so if it's boosted and using a 3 bar map and that data is sent to the computer then it should also show up on the app if you have the right gauge selected on the dashboard in the app.

I have this app and $27 BT OBDII adapter I got on Amazon. Works great! You can save profiles so you can move it from vehicle to vehicle too!
