long time drooler, first time buyer
always loved the f-bodies. today i bought one
i've been creeping the threads here at LS1tech for the past few weeks trying to decide what exactly i wanted. today i found it.
Its a 2001 WS6 with 32,700 miles, black on black. no rattles, squeaks, cracks or rips. leather seats don't even have wear wrinkles. it looks, runs and drives like brand new, its completely stock and probably gonna stay that way. Its not gonna be a daily driver, just my toy.

when i start the mods, i'll be doing everything at once.
here is my list:
-TSP 1 7/8 LT headers (going 1 7/8 for future upgrades - buying once)
-TSP Rumbler bullet true duels
-12 bolt rearend 33 spline with 3.73's
-torque converter (size to be determined)
-Trick Flow 255cc heads w/ 2.165/1.600 valves
-cam to match (tbd)
-LS7 lifters/tray
-1.7 rockers/pushrods
-Nick Williams throttle body
-tune
this comes close to $7k.
come spring, work gets busy and more money will be saved for an all-forged short block (specs to be determined), fuel delivery, transmission to be built, and suspension.

$15k for that car is a great deal, I've seen them edging up to 18K and up. And losing to a new 5.0 in a stock ls1 and bigger car aint nothing to be ashamed of, drove my buddies 5.0 and it is a beast...bone stock!

change of plans. instead of spending 7k doing upgrades to the car this winter. decided i'm not gonna touch the car at all and sink the money into a block and forged internals and build a motor first.
i want cubic inches and compression, no forced induction. any ideas on a solid build?

I like it. The wheels and the hood make a huge difference. I paid 11 for a 99 non Ws6 with about the same miles 2 days ago, i think 15 is pretty fair for 2 years newer and WS6.
