been looking for something nicer looking to go under the hood. would not hurt to replace them anyways now that they are 11 years old.

I would not want to at a sacrifice of reliability or performance.

You will never see any part of the starter... Spending $300 on a red painted starter seems like a waste of money..

what they said. neither is really worth it for the LS1, unless you have something else? The alternator is completely out of sight at the bottom, unless you're doing the whole underbody for a show car, where you'll have the mirrors to see underneath and all.

No my alternator will be near the passenger side cylinder head, as I am relocating it to make way for a Cog setup for my supercharged street car. I would actually like one in black that is 200amp. or at least 160.

edit.

hopefully 140 amp will do

200 amp is overkill man. unless you have a huge sound system in the car. stock amperage will be fine.all the **** your taking out, you wont need an alternator lol
