Considering there is not much to gain with swapping gears on an Ls1 car I would not bother with the added RPM at cruise... Don't get me wrong i am all about adding gear but Ls A4 cars don't seem to need gear....Do you have a stall in your car? Do you have and aftermarket cam?

2.73 to 3.73 you'll notice a difference.

From what I remember, the car "feels" a lot faster when doing this swap, but the track times just weren't there. Someone did that exact swap and only lost a tenth or two in their quarter mile time. Then some other dude with the 2.73 rear put a 3600 or 3800 stall in his car and dropped like a second in his 1/4 time.

I like my 3.70s. I believe your RPMs will be <2k at 60. Definitely use a solid pinion spacer instead of a crush sleeve. You will probably need to buy a new pinion seal as your kit will include an older version that is too small. I always recommend buying actual gear paint separately because my kit came with grease as a substitute.
