My '99 camaro ss has 108,000 miles, is it worth doing the cam swap also I would like to ported/polish the stock heads.

Wanting to go with polluter cam or ms3

Friend of mine just bought a cammed LS1 with just under 100k, and it runs nice and strong...no issues at all

I had about 132K on mine when I installed the cam. As long as everything is in good working order you shouldn't have an issue. I would also suggest upgrading the timing chain, oil pump, hardened pushrods and rocker bearings at the same time.

125k on the clock here no problems at all with a good tune. Nothing too big 228/234 has plenty down low. Overall a fun car, consider your 108k a broken in engine that's all, not high mileage to my standards just make sure you make all the necessary upgrades and enjoy it. My 2 cents

if you want just have everything checked out. you can also reuse a cam if you have to.


i wouldnt bother messing with stock heads though.
