Im doing the 0411 PCM and HPtuners in a turbo fox body build. when the time comes does VCM dongle need a VIN from the car ? If so do i just get a random VIN from a junkyard truck Or is there something in the PCM that the software sees and "marries" it to that dongle.


I bought a used PCM from here and Im sure it has been tuned before- I didnt know if the VIN is "locked" into that PCM.


Does that make sense ? LOL

I'd use a 2002 F-Body OS and leave that vin in the pcm.
Fox body is OBD1 and you will not need the correct vin
for emissions.
