Default CalSpeed C5 427"/TT rear mount best ET 8.9 & 161, 91 octane pump gas, fastest 4l60e ?

Calspeed & Performance entered one of our shop sponsored customer vehicles in True Street - NMCA West last weekend

We won a Wally at the last NMCA race in true street couple months ago, and repeat won this NMCA race.

Last 3 passes went 9.1, 9.1 @ 161 mph & 8.9 ET's on 16" Hoosier Drag radials and 91 octane pump gas with dual large nozzle methanol

3860 Race Weight (10-pt mild steel cage, full weight car. Has few hundred lbs of extras on car). Making about 1300 hp right now

98 Corvette - Twin rear mount 70mm magnum / .81 turbos
ERL 427" 6-bolt alum shortblock
All Pro LS7 style heads, CSP custom camshaft, FAST 102MM LS7 intake
1-7/8" longtubes with dual 3" to the rear, 2.5" cold side piping to front
Treadstone FMIC intercooler
127lb FIC Injectors, CSP Aux fuel system (255lph in tank & 255 external)
AEM Twin nozzle methanol system with large nozzles progressive
Nitrous plate system for spooling turbos for first 60 feet, only use
RPM Lvl 7 4l65e transmission with Pro Yank 3400 Stall converter, ECS Driveshaft, 3.73 gear in RPM C5 diff, QA1 adj shocks all way around, Z06 front/rear leaf springs.

15lbs boost on AEM controller

I believe thats the fastest 4l60e record?? We were pretty excited to get in the 8's on small tire, stock style IRS, pump gas etc.

8.9 pass:

Congrats on the 2 wins. Sounds like some weight reduction may be in the winter down time.

I too love the rear mount set up, never thought I would, but they just work great and allow a far better exhaust. I never want to mount a red hot hairdryer under my hood again.

Congrats on the runs, and 1300hp at just 15lb boost on pump (plus meth) is getting it done. That is pure efficient power. Good stuff guys
