Default Ls9 valve springs on 317 heads

I've done some research about using ls9 parts on an 05 lq4. i know the cams and head gaskets work but what about the valve springs? wouldnt see more than 15lbs of boost(turbo) with an ls9 cam.

all stock valvesprings suck *****,

do a pac 1218 at the very least. they are only like 130-140 dollars 131lbs of seat pressure. mild cam they will hold 20+lbs of boost easily.

trust me i have floated nearly every stock spring in sight lol

Ls9's have a completely different retainer and install height on the springs.... put em on and you may not even have 100 on the seat.

Snag one of Tooleys spring kits with steel retainers for 219 and be done.

Tooleys kit is a great value. Retainers, locks, seals, locators and springs. Everything will be new cept the castings and valves. Youll be able to run any cam you want to on em as well if you decide to upgrade later on.
