Moving to Stereo & Electronics...

LED's are a good choice here. You should check the threads on this because you need a special type/color for them to work correctly.

There is a red plastic hood that colors light from a clear/white incandescent bulb. I think the bulb you want is a #74 wedge available from autozone.
