ok test drove it, everything was good, bought it, still good, i smelled coolant just a little on my way home, this morning there was a little puddle right below the lower radiator hose on passenger side. also the bottom of the radiator support is a little damp. nothing is wet anywhere else and i cant see anything anywhere? any ideas?

Could be many things. Radiator leaks are not uncommon in our GTOs, so I would start there. Possible water pump on its way out, they are also prone to fail early and leaks are a sign of a pump about to die. Small pin hole in a hose could be a culpret. I'd look at the lower hose, radiator and water pump.

Yup check the plastic side tanks on the radiator. They have a tendancy to acquire hairline cracks.

I just had to replace the radiator cap on mine.
