Default Valve spring compressor?

Stupid newbie question......the description for the tool below says it is supposed to be used with the heads on. Is there any reason it would not work just as well with the heads off? I'm a little confused why they would market it that way if it will work in either scenario. My heads are off. Thanks

It can be used with the heads installed in the car, or removed.

k--rect
that tools will work 2 values at one time, heads on or off
you may like to look at "Tim's Tool" it only compress one at a time, which I do not think would make very much differance. I used "Tim's " last week on my double springs with .670 lift and was happy
just my .02' Johnny
