Damber and fuelpump for procharger kit
Hello
I just bought D-1SC procharger kit for my -98 trans am. Kit is complete 8-rib with 60 injectors, fan, etc.
But damber and fuel pump missing, and tune up too...
Is ATI damber only option, its quite expensive... Or, if used has someone I am interesting.
Fuel pump, what is easiest way with 550hp. Is hotwire kit enough or bosch 044 in tank, or something else?

The ATI super damper is the only one I have seen and what I'm running, it is an expensive pully though. Also I wouldn't even mess around with single pumps... Give lonnie a call and get a dual in tank set up and forget about it. Been there tried that with hot wire kits and boost a pumps on a singe pump, they all lost fuel pressure for me.

For what its worth forced inducton is not cheap, and in my experance when you try to cheap out on some things you end up doing it twice and spending even more money.

I have not tried this yet, but have researched it. The bolt pattern on the crank pulleys (well the sdce pulley) is the same as most aftermarket balancers. the problem is there is a gap from between the pulley and the balancer. if you call procharger they sell a spacer that will work. Thus can buy a $15 spacer from them, and I was going to run a power bond under drive balancer. I have the pulley and spacer, but haven't bought the balancer yet to verify. But both companies told me they were using the same bolt circle, so should work.

The ProCharger 8 rib crank pulley is designed to bolt to the ATI Performance Products 918853 balancer with three bolts. The 918853 balancer has these three threaded holes. Bob

The only pulley that I know of that is designed to work with the stock balancer is a 6 rib, not an 8 rib. Bob

Is that 6-rib balancer same style or same desing or same like fastinger vs. that 8-rib?
Do you have experiences that 6-rib with stock balancer?
This is much cheaper way than ATI superdamber... And if functional is same level, why not : ) This is my point...

6 rib crank pulley
http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DC017...DC017A-001.htm
6 rib crank bolt
The 8 rib kit uses a larger 7.65" diameter crank pulley, the larger diameter is better as the blower pulley won't be as small as the 6 rib's to make the same amount of boost. The larger blower pulley will give better belt wrap, plus the eight rib has two extra ribs for better belt grip. Bob

You're welcome. The ProCharger 6 rib pulley is a 6.0" diameter pulley that has three pins that fit into the slots on the factory balancer. It requires a special length crank bolt to keep it secure to the balancer. It works at 6 to 8 psi as long as the crank bolt doesn't loosen up. Loctite needs to be used on the crank bolt. Over time the three pins on the pulley have a tendency to bend, but if you don't go over 8 psi of boost you shouldn't have problems with it.

Thanks again! I write from Finland, I have lot of questions because I dont have so much knowledge here and I think you have latest info in here forums. And parts are very expensive here too.

A single Walbro 255 GSS340 pump replacing the stock pump in the tank works well at 8 to 10 psi of boost. You can leave the rest of the fuel system stock except for replacing the fuel injectors. I recommend going with Siemens 60lb injectors, most tuners are familiar with them. Bob
