Can i take a 01 programmed PCM and use it in my 02 with out having flashed for my VIN just to try. Anyone know???

Yes you can. 01 and 02 stock programming is the same if the trannies are the same type.

thanks what about traction control does that matter ...the 01 pcm has Ed Wright programming

I have a friend who had Ed Wright tuning on a 01 T/A traction control car. He totaled the car and bought a 02 T/A without traction control. We took all the mods off the 01 and transfered them to the 02 including the 01 PCM. Evreything worked fine. He goes by CRASH 02 on this board if you want to ask him about it.
