Default New life in the old firebird today

So after having my car for sale for around 5 months. Two buyers came to buy the car. Anyways after jumping it off and watching it drive off on the test drive made me realize how much I love and miss this car. Anyways after they decided to go think about it and wanting to pay my price I backed out. Anyways engine is coming out for a tear down and I hope to have it back on the road by the end of the year. Can't wait. I will beat the date of 2-21-09. Aka the date the car first blew up with its bad luck streak.

I will be the last owner of this car.

Thats great man... wish more people would feel that way, rather than ditching them for the "easier way"

Ehhh, to each their own.... but Im all about the LTX.

I feel somewhat the same way. I sometimes don't even want to look at my car much less drive it, but could not stand to see someone else owning it.
Why does the engine need to be torn down?

Pretty much the game plan is to tear down and find the cause of the extreme oil burning. Either its a cracked oil ring or bad seat. However tried everything to seat and its just getting worse. So buddies are going to help pull the motor and re ring it before the end of the year.

I want mine to go in the worst way.

Good luck with pulling the engine, glad you got the energy. I pop my hood and say "I really dont feel like doing this again" lol.
