Default new to ls cars, curious about resell value (fresh modded)

Curious about resell value on my car.2002 z28, When finished the car will have 170k miles but the motor is completely freshened up as of now, new rods, pistons, new 2.5 5.3 ported heads, 228r cam, slp MAF, ported ls6 oil pump, double roller timing chain, etc....All new parts. Also has 3,500 stall, full exhaust, shift kit, wideband.....and also have all new 3.73 gears/girdle to be put on later.

Any input would help. Bought it to resell but not against keeping it if I really like it when its finished and tuned.

Read some of the posts here over the past months about other high mileage modded LS1 cars. They get very little money. 170,000 miles is very high and no one will pay good $$ for it no matter what has been done. Don't go too deep into it unless you seriously want to keep it for a long time.

That is not entirely true, the car I am selling in the classifieds has 170,000 on it with a lower mileage stock ls1, bolt-ons, built trans and stall, and converted to leather and Im getting 6500 for it and had a decent amount of interest. A car literally cant depreciate beyond the value of its parts. If I pulled it apart and sold all mods, engine, trans, leather, and roller at the going rates for parts on here Id get between 6200-7100 for it. Id rather see it stay together so Im on the lower end of that. People see value in cheap modded cars still.

Depending on mods and what not, I dont know your car, you can get 6000-8000 for parts so I wouldnt take any less. If you cant move it part it out, or partially part it out, throw a cheap 5.3 and stock 4l60 in it and move it for less and sell the mods separate.
