Default Huron Speed Turbo guys, what are your plans?

Hey guys, It looks like there's a lot of us and not much has been said, I was wondering what's your setup and what are your plans?

My setup is a 347ci forged engine, 317 ported heads with inkonel valves, EPS cam, 9:1Cr. Right now I 've got a single 255 walbro but might need to get double 340's, and will need to upgrade my 42lb injectors for sure. Been thinking about getting a TC78, but have heard a lot of guys say its too small of a turbo for a 347ci forged engine, the reason I was thinking on using the TC78 is because I'm tunning my car (efilive) and think tunning a small turbo will be easier and safer since I'm no expert, but I'm totally new to turbo stuff and Im open to suggestions.

I would appreciate to hear any input on my setup or any other stuff and would love to know what everyone is planning to use

Cheers

skip the tc78 and go with the new turbonetics 7675 or 7875. cant beat it for the money. if youre learning to tune, just keep the boost and timing low

I have a forged 370 and just ordered the turbonetics 7675. It is going to be a street car with a t-56. https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...rbo-build.html is my build thread if anyone wants to check it out. I planned on going with a custom kit but I just couldn't pass up this group purchase deal. I'm glad I went this route. Can't wait to see all of the other Huron Speed builds.

Just went through the whole thread, engine bay looks really clean, I really like the overbore engine config, as soon as I finish my build I'll start one of these, keep us updated!!

LS1
224r cam PRC .650 springs
stock 853 heads
37 lb racetronix injectors
Racetronix fuel pump with hotwire
Huron speed turbo kit with turbonetics tc76mm
STOCK 4l60e
custom street tuned

I plan on running low boost to start, around 4-5lbs so the stock transmission will last awhile. That should make around 480rwhp or so. My goal is to trap 120-124 on 4lbs. Than once the tranny goes I'm going to get a built flt lvl 4 tranny and up the boost to 8 psi with meth injection. My tranny lasted though nitrous so I hope I can get some good miles on it with 4 lbs of boost

BTW mine is also a pewter Z28

3.42 rear gear, and I'm running E85 so my duty cycles are going to be much different than yours. It runs strong. The only vid of me racing is against a 500 rwhp S2000

My race is at the very end.(4:50) There's 2 races.

I never answered your question though. My only plans are to put a better clutch and rear end in the car, then start pouring on the boost.

Sweet ride, since its pewter haha. Mine was an auto, then I did a powerglide and finally swapped to t56, now I regret not having my PG... I have no doubt you can make that kinda power with 5lbs, do you still have the 10 bolt?

I was thinking on getting the Lonnies Performance dual pumps, I've only heard good things about them!

Perfect, I have a S60 with 4.56 gears since my car was a H/C/N, I guess I'll have to change that. I'm running a McLeod RST and it shifts like butter, the stock clutch on my Z06 is a lot harder, a friend of mine had an OZ700 in his Z06 and he even got a quadricep tear cuz it was really hard hahaha, what r u planning to get?

BTW I love the quiet exhaust sound from the turbo at WOT!!

Well.. Im going to see how it will fit on my car to start!
Texas Speed forged lq4/9 (not decided if i want to bite the bullet and go 402ci)
light p&p 317s
PT7675 or 7875(or pt88)
80lbs injectors
huron speed twin fuel pump kit
huron speed piping (will be painting intercooler)
Very mild.. cam. I want it to be undetectable with it being a little more boost friendly
Turbosmart eboost2
Will be tuned by Frost
and of course all of the supporting mods
Then pretty much replace whatever breaks first. My guess will be...
Rear then clutch and then my t56. The transmission was rebuilt around a year ago and the clutch is a centerforce dual friction. It should last long enough until i can find the cash to upgrade. My rear is only a matter of time.. even on my 245s now.

Haven't gone in on the kit but I'm planning to real soon.

Aes 390ci
853 heads
Tc-78 (temporary turbo)
Shooting for 650 wheel for now. Still on stock t56 and 10 bolt lol. After I fix those week links, the plan is a GT-88 and going for 1000whp. Hopefully my trans and rear will hold up at 650wheel as long as I don't launch haha.

Stock LS1
Stock heads (also dual springs)
LS1 intake (need to replace this)
Custom ground cam from Tick
Dual 255's
60 lbs injectors
Stage 2 tick T-56
Some kind of stage 3 clutch (whatever I can get best deal on lol)
Stock 10 bolt ( I know) with 3.42s
Turbonetics 7875 .96 ar
xs power 50mm BOV
Turbonetics RG-45 WG
Boost controller undecided on which one yet

I will be running around 10 psi daily on a (safe as can be on boost) tune. 93 pump but may convert to e85 later on. Pretty sure I'm forgetting some things but oh well. And I need to find a good tuner around southwest Michigan area.

Read all your comments, when we're finished would like to see the differences in HP between the stock bottom cars and the forged ones, difference may not be much.

You should get in, the starting price was a bargain to begin with and now it's dropped 100 or 150 more, It will be hard to get any deal better than this. Hot side is 999, so for 700 bucks more you're getting the cold side piping, intercooler, clamps, alt bracket, plus a great customer service from Jon
