Default Midwest Chassis fab9 on the way

One step closer to badass status on my Z28 Optioned it with a wavetrac (35 spline) and a strange hydrid thru bolt case, yukon 3.89 gears, long 1/2" studs, and a long style torque arm. I had them do the optional filler cap and tow loops, and I'm having the housing backbraced and powder coated black. Also got some subframe connectors.

Any opinions or experiences on the stuff I ordered, changes I should make before its done? Eric @ MWC was extremely helpful in answering all my newb questions, but I figured it can't hurt to double check with the members here.

Eric

BTW if you order between now and the beginning of January the wait should be MUCH shorter. I was told maybe 3-4 weeks wait time right now, as opposed to 4-6 months if you order later in the season. Apparently pre tax time has the shortest waiting period in case anyone didnt know.

Id have preferred to go to a narrowed housing but they dont make the 17x11 zr1s I use for the street in anything but stock backspacing. At least I dont think they do?

no. they wouldnt. most ive seen is people use spacers...sometimes huge ones to get them by...

it just that...i got the rear...then when you start doing other mods...you look at wheels...then you see some deep dish wheels....and CRAP! i just ordered a rear end...but i want those wheels..

ill probably pull my and have it narrowed someday...lol

I don't think he has an international #. As long as you don't mind paying the fees. Im sure you can call the # on his site.

But e-mailing always works for me too when i have dumb questions for him.

Yeah, I just felt that as much as the s60 would have cost this is a better value.

Eric built mine using the same strange hybrid case. I got the same options but but a sppol also got the antiroll bar. Eric's stuff is so nice once you get your hands on it you will be thankfull you went with Eric. I do suggest you get it narrowed and buy some new wheels. As you can see I have beat on it and the gears are still quite

My Midwest Fab 9 came to me narrowed 2.5" on each side. Im running Weld RTS Racing Wheels & they look awesome on the car. The wheels are 5.5 inch Back spacing. This gives the car the more Desirable Deep Dish Look. Go with 1350 Yokes & Solid U Joints. I also have a PST Drive shaft for Extra Strength. If you want to run a Big Exhaust in the Future... 4" Mufflex... Go with Erics Double Drop Torque arm driveshaft loop. I went with the Short torque arm because i was told... its better for Drag Racing.

Go with Erics Back Brace option also...!! Looks awesome & makes it Strong.
I wish i had the Watts link sway bar option... i will add the Watts link to my Fab 9 soon.
It makes the car launch hard & straight !
