What's a head/cam LS1 longblock in perfect condition with 50K worth?
This is not a for sale add, so please don't pm me.
I'm debating on whether or not to sell my complete LS1 longblock, or use it and make a 383 stroker out of it. I would sell the entire stock LS1 with PRC 2.5 ported 5.3 heads and a Texas Speed V3 cam. I've done some searching and haven't really found what an LS1 longblock like this in perfect condition. I was thinking $2000 is fair for the miles and heads/cam.
My goal is to build another 850-900hp car. I have all the parts except the motor for the build. I'm not sure what would be the better route. Thanks in advance.

Stock balacer would be included. I'd obviously need my wiring and most the accessories. So if I did decide to do it, $3000 would be a fair starting price since it has a nice head/cam package?

No, it will be a local sell and the buyer will get to ride in the car before the motor is pulled if I sale it. Not pulling it till it is sold locally if I go that route.

you do not typically get cam money back from a sale. Heads add value, but the LS long blocks have taken a hit since they are in every truck currently produced. I'd say 2200. that's what I'd ask for it.

I sold my 45k mile cam only ls1/th350 and painless set up for 2,500. It sold in 2 days. I think 2k for motor alone in good condition should be your bottom dollar price cause i regret selling everything for so cheap, I felt I could have got more the moment it sold. List it high, screw it... who knows all it take is one buyer.

Thanks. I'll list it high. If it doesn't sell in a week, no issues. I'll just pull the heads/cam and sell them complete for 700-1000 bucks, use the stock motor and do either a high boosted 347/383 with it.
